Jagadeesh Gokhale is senior fellow at the Cato Institute. His earlier positions include visiting scholar at the American Enterprise Institute, consultant to the U.S. Treasury, and senior economic advisor to the Cleveland Federal Reserve.

Jagadeesh works in the areas of fiscal policy, macroeconomics, and the labor market. He has written extensively on policy issues including Social Security and Medicare reform, national saving, private insurance, wealth inequality, and intergenerational transfers. Jagadeesh has testified before Congress on these topics and his papers and op-eds appear in top tier economic journals and local and national newspapers.
