Claire Young is a professor and the Associate Dean, Academic Affairs at the Faculty of Law, University of British Columbia. She is the co-author of two books and the author of numerous articles on tax law and policy. She also works on issues involving sexuality and the law. She was awarded the University of British Columbia Killam prize for excellence in teaching in 1998 and 2002. She has consulted with the Canadian Department of Finance and several international organizations on tax policy issues. In 2003, she was awarded the Therese Casgrain Fellowship in recognition of her research on women and economic issues.
