Diane Elson is a senior scholar and codirector of the Levy Institute’s program on Gender Equality and the Economy and a professor at the University of Essex, U.K. She was a member of the UN Millennium Project Taskforce and Advisory Committee member for the UNRISD Policy Report on Gender and Development. She is a vice president of the International Association for Feminist Economics. Her research interests include gender and fiscal policy, and gender and international trade.
