Elsa Fontainha is an Assistant Professor of macroeconomics at the Technical University of Lisbon, Portugal. She coordinates the research project models and measurements of time allocation, supported by Portuguese National Science Foundation (FCT). Her current research focuses on time use and the interaction between market and nonmarket activities, especially intra household transfers,labor supply, social cohesion and well-being. She received her Ph.D. from Technical University of Lisbon in 1997.
