Bola Akanji is an associate research professor, Nigerian Institute
of Social and Economic Research. He has a Ph.D. in agricultural
economics and works extensively on policy issues as researcher,
consultant, trainer, and policy analyst. He works in Nigerian and
African development cover areas, such as poverty analysis, market,
labor and structural studies in agriculture, liberalization, and
commodity pricing policies. He is also involved in gender studies
and gender training. Akanji is a member of IWG-GEM and is a fellow
and resource person in the gender and macroeconomics course at the
University of Utah, Salt Lake City. Currently, he is actively involved
in engendering policy processes in Nigeria, including gender budgeting,
gender mainstreaming strategies, engendering policy benchmarking
processes, and developing the national gender policy. |
