Mehnaz Rabbani is currently senior research associate at the
Research and Evaluation Division, BRAC, Bangladesh. She is also
a consultant for the Asian Development Bank (Bangladesh Resident
Mission) and research associate at the Economic Research Group,
Bangladesh. Rabbani has a master’s degree in economics from
Brown University and a bachelor’s degree in economics from
Bard College. As the coordinator of the economics research unit
at BRAC, her extensive field work and tasks for the last two years
include defining the research agenda of the research team, designing
instruments of research, training enumerators, supervising data
collection, and analyzing data. Her main research interests are
extreme poverty issues and innovative-targeted programs. Rabbani’s
most recent work includes comparison and impact assessment of programs
targeted toward the extreme poor and exploring the lives of Bangladeshi
adolescents using time-use data. |
