Pavlina R. Tcherneva is visiting faculty at Bard College. She
was previously the associate director for economic analysis of the
Center for Full Employment and Price Stability, University of Missouri–Kansas
City, where she remains a research associate. She was also visiting
scholar at the Centre for Economic and Public Policy at the University
of Cambridge (Summer 2004). Tcherneva has a B.A. in mathematics
and economics (honors) from Gettysburg College, Pennsylvania, and
an M.A. in economics from the University of Missouri–Kansas
City, where she is currently a Ph.D. candidate. She researches the
feasibility of universal guarantee policies under different currency
regimes; specifically, Argentina’s experience with direct-job
creation. She has collaborated with policymakers from Argentina,
Bulgaria, China, Turkey and the United States and has published
in the International Journal of Environment, Workplace, and Employment;
Rutgers Journal of Law and Urban Policy, and Oeconomicus. Tcherneva
is the coeditor of Full Employment and Price Stability: The Macroeconomic
Vision of William S. Vickrey (Elgar 2004). |
