Mette Bloch joined the UNDP BDP Gender Team in February 2009 as a Gender & Economy Programme Analyst. Prior to joining UNDP she was working as climate project officer in the National Policy Network preparing for COP 15 and coordinating capacity building of southern partners.  Mette has experiences from years of consultancy; advocacy and policy work in the field of gender & development & economy. She has undertaken a gender assessment of the entire south programme of the Danish Action Aid, including field research in Zambia, Uganda and Nepal and was the Gender coordinator of the Alliance of Poverty Eradication PRSP programme in Nicaragua, Honduras Zambia and Ghana.

Furthermore she has during the years been on the Board or Steering Group member in various organisations and policy networks such as WIDE Women in Development Europe, Gendernet –research and capacity building network of Danish development NGOs, KULU Women and development, the Danish IGTN focal.

Mette Bloch Hansen is a Danish national with a Candidate Degree in International Development Studies & Political Science and a BA in Public Administration from Roskilde University, Denmark.
