Mayela Freyre was born in a small beautiful city in middle of the Peruvian Andes, called Huancayo. She now lives in Lima the biggest city of Peru. She has 3 daughters and youngest son. As you can see, she had little time to do the things that she really likes, such as going to the movies and walking around alone.

Mayela is an Engineer Economist and her current job involves design and evaluation of projects financed by international cooperation and advice to authorities and officials of regional and local governments to design policies to incorporate gender issues in projects, programs and budget.

Also, Mayela is Professor at San Marcos National University; this is an activity that she really appreciates because it allows her to share the most passionate discussions of the students on political and social issues putting a lot effort trying to convince each other.
