Ajit Zacharias is a Senior Scholar at the Levy Institute and Co-Director of the Levy Institute Measure of Economic Well-Being (LIMEW) project. His research focuses on the measurement of economic well-being and distribution of income and wealth. In addition to several Levy Institute publications on the LIMEW and other topics, he has published in Challenge, Cambridge Journal of Economics, Eastern Economic Journal, Journal of Economic Inequality, Review of Income and Wealth, and Review of Radical Political Economics. Zacharias is a member of the editorial board of Journal of Economic Inequality (Springer) and the advisory board of Dialectical Anthropology (Springer). He received an MA from the University of Bombay and a PhD from the New School for Social Research.
