Radhika Lal

Radhika Lal is an Indian economist. Most recently, she served as the SDG Finance Policy Advisor & Team Lead at UNDP’s Bangkok Regional Hub where she provided policy advice and managed a team providing support for the effective mobilization and use (impact) of both public and private finance for the SDGs & climate action. She has more than 20 years development policy experience, spanning Africa, Asia, and Latin America, working with ministries of finance, planning commissions, statistical agencies, thinktanks and other stakeholders, as well as contributing to high-level task forces and expert meetings. Prior to that she taught economics, undertook applied research and worked with an NGO on strategic advocacy. She is particularly interested in analysis and measures to strengthen sustainable finance ecosystems; and industrial policies and complementary measures, including employment guarantees, to drive   job-rich and sustainable growth. She has an MA (Economics) from Jawaharlal Nehru University.
