Research Associate and Policy Fellow C. J. Polychroniou is a political economist / political scientist whose primary expertise is international political economy. His research focuses on globalization, the political economy of the United States, European economic integration, and the deconstruction of neoliberalism's political project.
He has taught in universities in Greece and the United States, and was founder and director of the Center for the Study of Globalization in Athens, Greece. He has published five books, including Marxist Perspective on Imperialism: A Theoretical Analysis (1991), Perspectives and Issues in International Political Economy (ed., 1992), and Discourse on Globalization and Democracy: Interviews with Leading Thinkers of Our Time (in Greek; 2002). His articles have appeared in a variety of journals and magazines, including, among others, New Politics, New Political Science, Socialism and Democracy, Economic and Political Weekly, Theseis, and Kyklos.
Polychroniou holds a Ph.D. from the University of Delaware.
